What do you make of this Book Week theme?

We're in Australia and this year, the country's theme is "Find your Treasure"

What does that even mean? How is it a theme?

I quite like it-it's creative!

The obvious things would be pirates, miners, archaeologists and dragons but because it is "your" treasure there are lots of other possibilities.

What have dragons to do with treasure though? I just don't get it....I think it's too vague and broad.

Dragons traditionally hoard treasure - like Smaug in The Hobbit.

I think it's a great theme. There are all the conventional treasure hunting stories - Treasure Island, Red Rackam's Treasure, Five on a Treasure Island, Over Sea Under Stone. Then there are more contemporary ones, like Ready Player One (where they're seeking less obvious treasure!)

Plus there are all the metaphorical options - what's treasure to you? Something like The Night Circus would fit this, where the treasure is the thing the characters create and protect between them.
