Buying clothes in season

I have a great pair of M&S per una shorts, which I love, my only pair of shorts, as the British hot weather has never really been this prolonged! I went to M&S (a big out of town one) this morning to try and get a new pair, expecting to find some summer clothes, considering it’s still July. No, instead it was half full of autumn clothes and half full of sale clothes (which did not include shorts!).

I ended up buying men’s shorts from M&S, where there was still a big section of summery clothes available for men, in almost an identical style!

AIBU to expect a big clothes retailer to sell clothes for the season in the season, not have to decide now what I want to buy for Autumn/Winter when it’s 30 degrees out there!

I agree with you, I nipped into primark to get a few bits, seeing as this summer isnt ending yet. But half of the shop had autumn stuff in, jumpers and thick trousers.
Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to autumn but it isn't here yet!

I agree. I don't understand why shops do this. I'm sure they would sell more if they didn't!

Who the hell do they think will be interested in shopping for autumn/winter clothing when the weather is like this?
