I am in need of a rant so no need to agree with me or not really just want to get it off my chest.
I am in hospital with 4yr old son who has severe epilepsy. We came in last night and I have been in a side room . I had a grand total of an hrs sleep last night and not much the few nights before that so v knackered now.
Anyway here goes the moan. Firstly let me say that I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the NHS who have kept two of my kids alive against the odds at time .
My gripe is the architects who design modern buildings without really thinking it through. The wards are build in a quadrangle with a large square courtyard In the middle. It has been designed as a kids play area with safety surface and play equipment. It sounds lovely doesn't it ?But all day today I have been trapped in a room with hoards of kids playing football and riding bikes right outside my window. In fact there have been numerous dad's out there leading the charge and playing five a side. We have had kids shouting, balls bouncing off the windows and even now ,despite the fact that it is supposed to.close at 8 their is s dad lobbing a rugby ball about and playing football again.
I am seriously peed off now.
How are kids and knackered parents supposed to get any rest in a modern hospital environment ?There seems to be no attempt to.be quiet day or night and staff and visitors clatter about at all hours with not even a pretence of consideration for others.
Oh lord I sound like a right moany old bag . I can't even.open the windows and it is roasting in here but the noise is too much to put up with. I may go mad if I have to listen to balls bouncing around 2 feet from my window much longer
Sorry moan over. As you were..
