I looked forward to my son returning

From his dad’s house all weekend and I wish he hadn’t returned. I just need to vent. I have put him in his room and sat in front of his door whilst he kicks the door.

This all due to him shouting at his step sister. He is only 11 yrs old. Arghhhhh

give him some time to calm down and then go in and give him a hug and suggest you both start again.

Flowers from me too

I always found a period of adjustment followed dc being at df's.
Usually busied myself making a cuppa while they chilled a bit.

Then joined them for plans for the week at school etc but no mention of their time at df's.

Unfortunately at dads he has extreme late nights then we bare the consequences when he comes back.

Been to counselling and Dad has sat there and said no put him to bed at early bed time. Which we know to be a lie as the children tell us.

This is every other weekend and it’s becoming tiring. And losing me positive time with my son.

At 12 my ds went nc with his df due to lack of parenting /boundaries. .
Your ex plays a dangerous game ime.

Unfortunately my son thinks the sun shines out of his dad arse.

My daughter on the other hand sees him for what he is as does my eldest son.
