I'm sworn to secrecy from the rest of the family for now but I'm at bursting point :-) My daughter has just passed her driving test at the third attempt. She gets nervous before exams or tests and felt ill this morning and made excuses not to come into town with me - little did I know she was doing her test without telling anybody other than her instructor Grin

Fabulous! Well done your DD Smile

Woohoo. Well done OP's daughter.

Same as me. Failed twice and on my third attempt I booked it and never told a soul. Not even my husband. I had to book it on a credit card so he didn't see it on the bank statement.

I think it took a bit of the pressure off.

thank you :-)
She's been and bought a car today - she's been saving up for one for ages - a little green Hyundai.

I told all and sundry with my first and failed. The only people that knew with my second were my instructor, examiner and my assistant at work - but only because she booked the test for me.

Well done to your daughter!

Well done OP's dd. Both my dcs kept it a secret until they'd passed.

Funnily enough, one of them bought a little Hyundai, not green though. Lovely little car and economical for fuel as well as road tax and insurance. Many hours of happy motoring ahead.
