Us muggles would never know. They hide what they do in the muggle world so welll that wizards could be around us all the time and we just don't see it and if we did notice anything they would just use that memory spell on us anyway?

My dc are convinced hope Harry Potter is real.

I'm split on this, I want it to be real because it would be amazing..... But on the other hand if it is really, I didn't get a Hogwarts letter

@Smallbee I'm hoping DS dad is secretly a wizard, which would mean DS would be due his letter any day... Fingers crossed.

Of course it's real. Sadly Voldemort destroyed all records of muggleborns born when I was, so I never got my letter.

A high placed muggle found out about it and threatened to tell the world, so a ghostwriter was hired to put out a fictional account that is almost identical (just a few tweaks, ie, the name ‘harry potter’ is fiction) so that even if it was leaked and anyone googled, only details of the books would be found.

It is real. JK Rowling has been the only muggle allowed to document the wizarding world without a memory wiping charm.

Jk Rowling gave up her magic so that the story could be told of the defeat of Voldemort.

I came to the uk from OZ when I was 10 on the night of my 11th birthday I packed my bags got out my hedwig and put on my Griffindor robes...no letter to hogwarts 😢 no hagrid....one of my saddest Birthdays....my time in the uk was downhill from there lol

It can't be real. Fudge tells the prime minister (John Major) that the previous prime minister (Margaret Thatcher) was a he. And every 1st of September is a Sunday.

The rest of it (Dragons, dementors etc) is plausible though...
