Sorry just posting for traffic, summer holidays so far well daughter had a serious ear infection , luckily cleared after 3 weeks of hell before we went on holiday for a week, still off this week from work so thought spend some fun time with kids only to find we all have nits for the first time ever 😣Kids now 11 and 14 so thought been lucky to escape but no have them ,so had to cancel all our plans. Just looked out my window and my neighbour off to florida for 2 weeks how much do I envy her 🤔🤔 sorry just so fed up and worried about these bloody nits. Honestly feel as if sometimes you couldn't make the shit up even if you try 😩

You don't have to cancel plans for nits. It's not like a virus. Tie loose hair up and go out. Just don't rub your head on anyone else's while you're out. Probably not something that's too difficult to avoid...

Quarantine for the whole family because of nits? Really?

Have you got that special comb and shampoo?

It's not the plague.

You can clear nits within hours can’t you? Comb them out with conditioner, treat the hair afterwards. Throw pillowcases etc. in the wash. Tie up hair and carry on your day? Treat again as needed..

Isn’t it that simple? We’ve never had nits either so I’m not 100%, but isn’t it something like that?

You're bloody lucky if they've got to that age and never had them! Conditioner and nit comb, or head off to the chemist and buy some stuff. You don't need to cancel plans, it's not chicken pox!

Go out anyway. You can with nits/lice, just be careful. And no need to worry: they're an inconvenience, not a health risk.
