WIBU to quit my job

I hate my job, have zero engagement. Just hate it. I used to have a great job in the UK and then I moved with DH to his home country and have been struggling - I've worked here for almost three years now and it sucks. I don't get on with my colleagues, the work is boring and unfulfilling and I hate the "work all hours" culture.

I've applied for a few things but not had any success and I'm sorely tempted to just hand in my notice with nothing to move on to. My notice period is three months so chances are I could get a job in that time and if not, well, at least I might not be so unhappy.

How hard did people here find it to get back into work after a career break? I'm concerned that if I don't get another job easily and end up not working for the next few years until we return to the UK it would be hard for me to re-enter the workforce.

Can you afford to not work? If you can, then quit. But be aware that you could remain unemployed for years....if you've had no success searching for a new job whilst you're in employment, it will be even harder when you're out.

Why don't you pay to see a specialist to help you with your resume and interview techniques instead?
