To think that anyone who still believes in a positive Brexit scenario is nuts?

I feel v anxious about where our shit shower of a government is leading us. I live in a city which is very pro-Remain (although my dad isn't) but I find it very hard to believe that most Brexiters aren't concerned about how negotiations are going.

Or is this just me, in my bubble?

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

MissionItsPossible · 17/07/2018 22:21

What BMW6 said.

YABU and this could have been added to the million and one other threads about the subject.

MrsAidanTurner · 17/07/2018 22:22

What's wrong with trillions of threads about this? It's major thing in all our lives it would be worrying if no one was talking about it.

gamerchick · 17/07/2018 22:23

There is a Brexit topic, you can go over the same ground to your heart's content in there with people who think the same.

PukkaLovetea · 17/07/2018 22:23

Oh sorry; I actually don't look at Mumsnet that often, did a search, couldn't find any existing threads (clearly need to brush up on my research skills). Apologies for boring the shit out of you

OP posts:
PukkaLovetea · 17/07/2018 22:24

But I never get why people bother to come onto threads to either be rude or dismissive - if the thread doesn't interest you, why not ignore it? It's so weirdly passive aggressive

OP posts:
gamerchick · 17/07/2018 22:25

I don't when they're in the right topic.

gamerchick · 17/07/2018 22:25

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/eu_referendum_2016_

meditrina · 17/07/2018 22:25

There's a whole bloody topic for this stuff

And the zzzzzzzz isn't about the importance of Brexit. It's a natural reaction to more goady remoaning

(And no, I did not vote leave, I'm just heartily fed up with childish insults such as the one in the thread title)

LooseThread · 17/07/2018 22:25

There are a lot of ostriches around, OP. Sad

AuntieStella · 17/07/2018 22:27

"But I never get why people bother to come onto threads to either be rude or dismissive - if the thread doesn't interest you, why not ignore it? It's so weirdly passive aggressive"

It's not necessarily uninterest when someone disagrees with you and is prepared to say so quite clearly.

PukkaLovetea · 17/07/2018 22:27

God, some of you need to get a life if you can be bothered to come on here and scold me

OP posts:
PukkaLovetea · 17/07/2018 22:28

AuntieStella

I have no problem being disagreed with. That wasn't what I was referring to

OP posts:
LeighaJ · 17/07/2018 22:29

So you just want people who agree with you? And the point of this thread is what exactly?

Cuz based on the title you're not interested in the opinion of pro-brexit people and your title is rude yet you won't accept others being rude to you.

Pointless thread is pointless.

SilverySurfer · 17/07/2018 22:30

So eloquently put BMW6

TheOwlTheory · 17/07/2018 22:31

gamerchick has form for being a nob about Brexit so ignore her/him, OP.

LeighaJ · 17/07/2018 22:31

Actually I've realised I don't care about the point I was just popping in to hide the thread anyway.

gamerchick · 17/07/2018 22:31

Aw right in the feels man Grin

thinkingmakesitso · 17/07/2018 22:32

This is the most important process that has happened in most of our lifetimes and its consequences are going to affect out children and grandchildren, almost certainly diminishing their life chances and choices, yet people find it zzzzzzzzz and believe discussion of it should be limited to a niche corner?! We should all be rioting in protest and it amazes me that so many people are so complacent about this shitstorm that's going to make us all poorer.

After all the bleating about democracy people are happy that JRM et al have railroaded our PM into adopting measures she doesn't believe to be in out best interests, and that Tories are putting party over country and fuck us all??

UterusUterusGhali · 17/07/2018 22:32

YANBU.

HunterofStars · 17/07/2018 22:42

Yanbu. And I agree wholeheartedly with Thinking.

WittyJack · 17/07/2018 22:45

Even the staunch brexiteers I know (and have had many arguments with, but they are family so I can’t ditch them Sad) are worried now. They think we had strong negotiating cards and have failed to play them.

I’m just hoping terri is playing the long game so that it never happens somehow 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Childrenofthesun · 17/07/2018 22:46

Yanbu. And the fact that people think it's boring says it all. The apathy in this country is why the government are allowed to get away with all the shit they are producing at the moment. The British public are snoozing their way into a worse future for their children.

BMW6 · 17/07/2018 22:47

OP may I point you in the right direction.
