Viagogo ticket sales ...anyone got any advice please

Dd decided to try and get tickets for Les Miserables in Manchester next February as a birthday treat for me
She's currently on a placement year and goes into final year in September, so had saved some money to buy these tickets as a surprise for us
However she's been charged £600 for 4 tickets as she's bought them through viagogo website and hadn't been aware of all the recent bad publicity regarding them Sad
As soon as she found out the cost, she'd tried to contact them and her bank to see if she could get a refund/ cancel sale ...but no luck so far
Any useful advice gratefully received

What do you mean as soon as she found out about the cost? Was the cost not advertised when she committed to buy them?

If you go onto viagogo website, it gives you a guide price but the final cost is not given until the final page ...she has dyslexia and did not fully understand the procedure, she was so happy to have got tickets
The true cost of the tickets is £52 each but viagogo seem to act as touts and charge over the odds as well as huge admin fee
Apparently there have been a lot of people duped into paying over the odds for many events, concerts as tickets are sold onto 3rd parties who overinflate the prices
If I'd known she was using this website I would have advised her not to, but she was not aware of all the bad publicity surrounding its use
I just wonder if anyone has successfully managed to get out of this situation

Try contacting them and complaining via their social media. Also google and along with all the bad press you might find some success stories and tips on how to get through to them

And good luck!

We all have sorry tales about ticketing websites.
In my experience her only hope to get the money back is to try to resell them through viagogo and find some other poor sod who will pay 700 (viagogo will take fees from this as well).
Hope someone has better advice.

try fanfairalliance website, lots of info about secondary ticket sales and what you can do.

Oh poor thing, viagogo are as good as criminals.

I'm not sure what she can do now - perhaps complain on social media etc?

There's a Facebook page called Victims of Viagogo, that is linked to the Fan Fair Alliance, that might be able to give advice re a refund.
