Is this car too small

Sorry posting for traffic but honest opinions too.

Were going on a week long self-catering holiday to Cornwall (We're in London) and I want to hire a car as mine is quite old and I'm worrying about it not making the journey. DH's car is a v small city car so we won't bring that either.

There are 4 of us; me, DH and DDs 4 and 6. I've seen a Ford Fiesta to hire at a good price but I'm worried it will be too small. We'd be bringing 2x large holdalls and 1x medium holdall plus some supplies such as water and some groceries for the first day or so. Also we'll have two high backed booster seats in the back.

Help me out please.

The new Fiestas are larger than before so you should be fairly OK if you're not going to spend lots of time there.

Should be ok. You’ll only be really packed up once on the way there. Going home you won’t have food etc.

You should be ok, if you can afford bigger though something Astra sized would be perfect

Thanks for replies. DH thinks we should go bigger with a Focus or similar.

Sounds absolutely fine to me. If you do a google image search for the boot of a fiesta it might reassure you.

Orangedaisy · 17/07/2018 12:54

I think you’re crazy thinking of only a fiesta. We have a 4yo and 1yo (granted the latter needs pushchair and travel cot) and struggling to get it all in a 7 seater! Beach towels, buckets and spades, scooters etc take up a lot of space....

We had a fiesta as a courtesy car recently and I was amazed how much bigger it was than they used to be. It was slightly bigger than my skoda fabia if that helps? There was enough space in the back for my husband to sit in comfort - and he's over 6ft. Make sure it's s a 5 door and you'll be absolutely fine - the boot will probably be fairly full on the way down but from your description it should all fit in fine.
