Power cut alarm going off - how can I make it stop!!

My aibu is yes I am pissing my neighbours off and the noise is also now going straight through my head.

We had an unforeseen power outage early hours this morning. Still not back in and they are digging up the street outside.

The house alarm started going off half an hour ago. No power to it so I can't put the code in. How can I make it stop like now.

All help appreciated

Call the alarm company? There should be a back up battery but it may need replacing.

You need to call the alarm company.
This happened to my neighbours and the alarm needed to be professionally "reset" probably the wrong term but you get the idea.

This happened to us... And it didn't go back off until the power was restored! We have an older style alarm and there was nothing the alarm company could do. We were very popular on our street that day Grin

Thank you.

@Samanabanana

My dads mate fitted it for us. Said there is nothing he can do. We just need to wait for the power to come back on.

Anyone know at what point they provide generators for people?

Oh no :( to be fair, none of our neighbours complained and our power was off for 14 hours Shock

I think our alarm (only!) went off for about 4 hours in the end. Managed to input the code to turn it off from the inside but the outside kept on going until they restored power. Hope you get the power back soon!

Ours did this when a faulty appliance blew the electric circuit, the only way DH could get it to stop was to remove the alarm panel and pull a few wires out. Pretty sure he's knackered the alarm permanently though so you might not want to do this. We never set it anyway because the cat kept setting the sensors off.

Same with ours. We can't set it as we got it fitted but I've since got two cats.

It's just for show Grin

Anyway the power is back on now. They have dug the road right up outside. There are diggers,
Generators, the lot!
