To feel exasperated with happy-slapping neighbour

He slaps himself from about 8.30 pm. Presumably about the body, because it's LOUD. I am fed up of not being able to sit in my garden or have my back door open because of the images the slapping noises conjur up.

What to do?

Yuk. That's gross.

LEMtheoriginal · 17/07/2018 00:41

Is he quite well?

Bumble1830 · 17/07/2018 00:43

I'm not sure I understand? He just slaps himself? Do you know why?

AWomanIsAnAdultHumanFemale · 17/07/2018 00:46

Is he swatting flies?

sadandtired1 · 17/07/2018 00:46

Sure it's not shagging - flesh on flesh?

SimplyTwinkly · 17/07/2018 00:48

Gosh how strange.
Does he live alone?

McFugget · 17/07/2018 00:51

I would say he isn't well at all LEM, the slapping is just one of many anti-social noises. It's constant - the slapping begins late evening, other (gross) stuff during the day. I only noticed the sheer never-endingness of it this summer, where I have been in the garden a lot. He seems to spend literally every waking moment in his bedroom making offensive noises. Hid bedroom overlooks my garden.

He lives alone, very alone. Definitely not shagging noises.

Swatting flies! Grin Very rhythmically and determinedly if that's the case...

Oh dear. Umm, maybe the flies have organised their attack into a regular pattern? Grin

SchrodingersMeowth · 17/07/2018 01:01

Sounds like he might have Tourette’s or OCD. You could buy ear plugs or maybe ask him about it?

McFugget · 17/07/2018 01:06

I did wonder the same Shroedinger. He's not exactly ... approachable shall we say, so asking him about it wouldn't really be an option. Besides, I don't like him. Not because of what I describe above, he's just a really unpleasant bully.

He could have mental health issues? Possible head injury?

I've encountered similar symptoms in individuals with MH problems and head injury.

McFugget · 17/07/2018 01:21

It was worse a couple of years ago, whenever I went into my garden he'd shout, "Uuuuurgh, gross, look at THAT!" and make pretend vomit noises out of his bedroom window, (where he is all the time). He was also filming me during this time. It got to the point where I would not go into my garden at all. He took to masturbating loudly, lots of groans etc,. when I eventually began to use my garden again.
