To hate the botox, collagen-ated, false eyelashed look?

Am I just getting old?? Whatever happened to natural beauty?? I wear a bit of make up every day, but can't stand this awful false look, people are starting to look like cartoons of themselves! Where is it all going to end? Anyone else on the same page? I'm in my 40's and feeling like an old fossil for thinking this...

I agree. I have a few friends who love this fake look and have fillers and Botox. I think they looked better before but it's not my face 🤷

It's all so self obsessed too. I really hope it's a fad and in a few years time people will look back with dismay at the fact we used to inject stuff into our faces through sheer vanity!

I agree, whenever I watch old tv shows, films or old editions of Top Of The Pops from the 70s and 80s even the 90s I always find it so striking to see how fresh faced, natural and beautiful the women look.
Famous women were just so much less 'styled' and polished back then and they all the better for it in my opinion. No dazzling white teeth, straightened hair, fake tans, botox etc.

I think it’s like anything people take things too far, a bit of intervention/ help can look good, however some people love the initial effect and then go for more and more and end up looking like you say a cartoon of themselves, as for where it will all end I’m not sure, but I can’t see it subsiding, never more than now have people been so obsessed with the way they look, selfies have a lot to answer for. The heavy make up look, contouring etc is probably a passing fashion with any luck.

Think it started with TOWIE and Kim Kardashian.

I think little imperfections make people look more beautiful if that makes sense. I get the not wanting to be wrinkled aspect but everyone tends to end up with the same face once they start down the fillers route.

Has anyone else noticed how Kim Kardashian seems to be morphing into Cher.
