To be appalled by this band

DP went to see Thee Oh Sees in Newcastle on Thursday night last week. He loves that band and travelled a long way, really looking forward to it. He's still "gutted" about the gig... Sounds like the band were pissed off with some hitches & glitches with the sound systems and basically grumped and sulked throughout their set making arsey comments to the sound technicians and each other. DP said the vibes were awful.

AIBU to think this is disgracefully unprofessional of Thee Oh Sees? Fair enough maybe stop the gig until sound tech issues sorted but to make your fans feel shit??

Who? Never heard of 'em.

I guess they lost some fans, and probably didn't gain any.

We all have bad days at work. They had a bad day in front of a crowd. It’s not great but no one died.

Does he still like the music? Would he see them again if they played nearer home? Probably not worth being gutted about for too long.

A bad gig/attitude of a band can really turn you off them imo

Me and OH went to see The Lumineers and were very excited. Ho Hey was our song and they somehow destroyed it. They were so arrogant. Told the crowd to be quiet on numerous occasions and had a rant about everyone singing the wrong words during one of their 'shut up' moments

We go to as many gigs as we can a year, usually around 5-6 but that one was by far the worst one. Really can't listen to them anymore without being annoyed about their self entitled arrogant attitude towards their fans who paid money to support them!

He is well within his right to be annoyed I think

That's awful @Sophaloaf would spoil them for me too.

The reason we are still discussing this issue in our house is DP and BIL both think I am BU because the band are sensitive artistes who can't be expected to work in those conditions
