To ask for Hot Tub advice

I have just bought a Lay Z Spa Monaco. To plug it in I run the cable through my kitchen window. I need to shut the window at night so we have figured a solution is posting the plug through the shed letterbox to keep it dry. Is this OK?

Also, if it's pouring with rain, do you cover your pump/heater. Do you unplug it? So many unanswered questions from the instructions!

We used to have one.
In answer to your questions, it should be ok with the plug through the letter box as long as it's dry. Obviously your filter won't be running so keep an eye on the water quality. Can you not lock your window slightly ajar?
No need to unplug the pump in the rain but they do say not to use the hot tub whilst raining, this is one of the reasons that so many have a gazebo or similar above their's.
I hope that helps.

We got a registered electrician to fit an outside box so it can remain safely plugged in at all times. There are strict rules about how far away the power socket needs to be. Ours is a solid one from Roto Spa I wanted an inflatable but if DH does something it has to be done properly especially where water and electrics involved...
