Would a tattoo on your scalp be covered up if you grew long hair?

Unless you have see-through hair. Do you?

UpstartCrow · 15/07/2018 22:54

It depends how thick your hair is, and how well it matches the colour of the tattoo. They seem to show less if you have dark hair.

eightfacesofthemoon · 15/07/2018 22:55

Go for it.
I would suggest either
KKK
or
A swastika
Maybe a swastika in your fave colours.
Or
MUM

eightfacesofthemoon · 15/07/2018 22:56

And the answer is no
It will never be covered up. And you’ll always be viewed as some sort of Albanian gang member

greendale17 · 15/07/2018 22:58

Why would you want a tattoo on your head? Reminds of me of thug gangs

imsoboredwithitall · 15/07/2018 23:55

Steady on .... this could be for a valid reason?

tttigress · 16/07/2018 20:46

This thread made me thing about something, I have been wondering for a while....

Are face tattoos about to go mainstream? My reasoning is:

Seems like almost every boundary has now been pushed with tattoos, and I am slowly seeing more people getting descret-ish face tattoos.. i.e that can be covered by hair, or that is just a single small symbol.

thoughts?

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 16/07/2018 20:47

“Albanian gang member” 😆😂

figelnarage · 16/07/2018 20:59

😂😂😂

Anon12345ABC · 16/07/2018 21:12

"Unless you have see-through hair. Do you?" 😂😂😂

Why OP? Surely the point of tattoos is that they can sometimes be seen. I do like some tattoos but I think anything on neck, face and head is too far.

Sammyham88 · 16/07/2018 21:35

Know a few people with head tattoos after working in the tattoo industry for a while, so long as the hair is thick enough to cover the scalp then it'll cover the tattoo also.

@tttigress face tattoos are definitely becoming more common, sound cloud rappers have had a large impact on this new trend, like you said, it's also people pushing boundaries, it's now getting to the point that having your eyeballs tattooed/ scarification/ implants etc are becoming more common

JacquesHammer · 16/07/2018 21:36

As long as the hair is long enough to cover the scalp the tattoo will be fully covered. The tattooing process doesn’t stop hair growth

WardrobeMalfunction · 16/07/2018 21:42

I have a scalp tattoo and I stopped shaving my head about 2 weeks ago. The tattoo is already quite difficult to see-you'd need to be standing very close and be looking for it. My hair is mousy coloured.

tectonicplates · 16/07/2018 22:02

What happens if you go bald?

And even if you don't go bald naturally, what happens if you need chemotherapy?

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 16/07/2018 22:22

What’s the point if it’s under your hair?

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 16/07/2018 22:24

Is there a reason?

tttigress · 16/07/2018 22:39

I think I can see the point of a tattoo that totally totally covered if you want it to be, and only you and a few special people know it's there.

One tattoo style I like is "white ink" tattoos, if you have white skin it is very very subtle, maybe only you would know it is there plus anyone else you want to know.

BlueTears · 17/07/2018 07:52

The point is to cover a nasty upsetting scar.

And I was going to have a style that my hair flips over from the side to hopefully cover it all.
