When you get together with friends old or new in groups of 5 more, do you tend to all chat together or just have individual conversations?
Dh and I were introduced to a world of quite upper class people (for dinner parties, informal suppers and drinks etc) who will only speak to the person on one side of them, and then at some point swap to the person on the other side. I find it so formal and a bit hard to concentrate.
I normally like chats with everyone joining in and lots going on.
Aibu - is this normal ?
