Yes folks £50,000. Millions of taxpayers money went into its redesign and build. Won an impressive architectural award. How can this happen?
Local 'Friends' group had raised £500,000 towards expected purchase but no. Unexpectedly flogged, to a local businessman for fifty -50- grand. Fishy goings on by the sea.

Unbelievable! Should be an inquiry. It is like when the Millenium Dome was a white elephant built with tax payers millions, and then sold off for nothing and is now a world class venue! We pay someone else takes the profit

It will be flats made of cardboard by 2019

How do you know? I read a Guardian article yesterday that reported the price paid was unknown. However, the whole thing is ridiculously fishy - how and why was it not sold to the Friends group? I can’t understand why they would take a much lesser offer from the ‘businessman’.

Shock Definitely needs further looking into.

How stupid! Hmm

It will be flats made of cardboard by 2019!

Beat me to it @AlonsoTigerHeart I was just about make a comment like that! Grin

But mine was going to be 'Probably be 3000 new-build homes on there within 2 years.' Wink
