To wonder how this actually happened

I am so alone, I mean, if I died now, no one would know for months. I don’t know if anybody remembers the Joyce Vincent case and how everyone was so shocked that a relatively young woman could die alone and no one would know but I don’t know if it’s as unusual as all that.

Laying undiscovered for two years sounds very unusual. But I would imagine many people lay undiscovered for weeks and months unfortunately. Why are you so alone OP? Do you like it that way?

It can happen, but it's not the way things are supposed to be. I spend a lot of time in my working life trying to find ways to get isolated people connected with the community in some way. It can be devastating to have no friends or colleagues to talk to.

I didn't know about Joyce Vincent but have just looked her up. Wow, terribly sad. It sounds like she distanced herself from her family and friends. So sad what happened. Do you have any family? Or work? I'm so sorry you feel like this.
