Posting for traffic! About to get married , do I need to take engagement ring with me or just wedding rings? Would the engagement ring go on for photos ?
And do I go into ceremony with no rings on?

Thanks!!

Congratulations!

When my sister got married she put her engagement ring on her right hand, then put it back after the ceremony!

Put engagement ring on your right hand until you get married then put it on with wedding ring. Congrats

I think most people put the engagement ring on their right hand then put it on top of the wedding band after the ceremony. I put mine on a necklace as it doesn't sit right with my wedding ring. Do whatever feels best to you! Congratulations OP, have a lovely day.

You can get married with no rings at all!

But traditionally go with bare fingers and wedding ring goes on.

I don't know about photos but maybe take engagement ring with you (safely!) And ask photographer.

Engagement ring goes on after wedding ring.

Yes, I put the engagement ring on my right hand during the ceremony and then switched it over afterwards.
Congratulations :)

I gave mine to a bridesmaid to wear for the ceremony then put it back on afterwards. (If you do that make sure it fits her well!!)

soontobemrsR · 14/07/2018 13:19

No bridesmaids , I think I'll just pop it on my other hand. I've wrestled all my other rings off to make space.

Warm your dh to be if you are going to put it on your right hand. When he went to put on the wedding ring, he automatically went for my right hand as that’s where my engagement ring was!
