Post when moving house - how to secure?

Aibu to want post to stay secure?

Moving out and in same day so how do people keep sensitive post secure and not to the old address? Particularly anything that may be in the system before completion day? Worried about nosy vendors or buyers opening post that may miss redirection

Make sure you give seven days’ notice when setting up redirection and everything should be redirected just fine. Or you could contact companies/agencies in advance who might be sending you sensitive stuff. Otherwise you just have to trust.

When you set up a postal redirection you set the day for it to start. Set it to go to the new place from the day you’re moving there. No one will open your post.

set up redirect once you have exchange and then start changing addresses.

your post is not interesting to anyone else, just a nuisance.

I had a re direction set up. Still missed lots of post and had to keep going back to collect letters. Luckily new tenants were decent and kept them all safe for me.

Set up redirection to be effective some days before you move. You can get it 'held' at post office or to new address.
