I am not sure wether to apply for this job or not

I currently started a new job I am 2 months in and am loving good hours 20 and that suits me however the pay is low and Its likey I may have resign at Christmas as you cant book annual leave and I can’t work on Christmas Day
My husband is a nurse and is on call Confused and we have 3 children

However a job I have been wanting for ages has come up I spoke to the lady today and said she would be happy for me to work pt and it’s also term time only and it’s 25k per Rota I am currently on 700pm

I feel awful as I have only just started the job I am in now and do enjoy it so not sure what to do really

Take it! You work to live, you don't live to work. It sounds perfect for you .

RaininSummer · 13/07/2018 20:40

Sounds like a no-brainer if you will have to resign the other anyway and the pay is better.

pinkyredrose · 13/07/2018 20:40

Take it! Why on earth would you pass this offer up!

Singlenotsingle · 13/07/2018 20:42

What are you waiting for? Grab it quickly! Your employers could get rid of you at the drop of a hat if they wanted to. And they'll be able to replace you, no problem. Don't feel bad! Grin

Go for it but they can’t make you work Christmas Day anyway, it’s a bank holiday.

Metoodear · 13/07/2018 20:56

Fluffypinkpyjamas

It’s a residential house so they need 24 hour cover I was told no one is allowed to book anytime off over Christmas 🎄 but it means the person who only works on Fridays won’t work on Christmas for 4 years and I would have to work it 3 years ina row

I agree with everyone else... not sure what the dilemma is. Definitely go for it! Good luck!

Fluffypinkpyjamas · 13/07/2018 21:18

In that case OP leave and take the new job! Good luck Flowers and keep us posted!
