Inaccurate amazon description

Ordered two cotton underskirts from this seller. Two very flammable highly synthetic underskirts arrived. The seller when messaged offered me 8 euros to keep them and threatened me with the high cost of postage to China.
Can they do that?
Am I being unreasonable to expect free returns if item is not fit for purpose?

Amazon are good with this sort of stuff; they can usually sort it out.

This is amazon's policy:
"If a product you’ve purchased on Amazon Marketplace turns out to be faulty after delivery or not as advertised (i.e., non-conformant), the Seller has to give you a free of charge (including return costs) repair, replacement or refund for a “reasonable time” following the sale. That time will vary depending on the product and its value. However, if you make such a claim more than 6 months from delivery, you may need to prove that the fault existed at the time of delivery of the product and wasn’t caused by, for example, an accident, misuse, liquid damage, etc."

They have to pay the return postage costs if it's faulty or falsely advertised. But if it's just because you don't like them or just don't want them then you'll have to pay postage.
I also believe that they HAVE to have a UK returns address if they are selling through the UK site.

THank you everyone. I know Amazon are really good with their own products but the information on individual sellers is a little woolly. Fluffywuffy that’s good to know. The items are faulty and not as described so I should be eligible for free returns. So how come the seller is trying to come to some dodgy arrangement. Do I report this response from the seller offering me 8 euros?

Go on to the help section at the bottom and go to live chat, they should be able to help you get sorted
