Is it me being BU or are they?

So, I have few friends, good friends who are otherwise smart, intelligent women with a penchant for "mysterious" statuses.
Posts a photo: Guess where I am. (I don't know and I don't care, you tell me. It looks like any European small town centre from 16th century. Unless there is the Statue of Liberty, Big Ben or Colosseum, I won't know.).
When about 8 people didn't guess properly, she just pipes in: Oh, you're wrong, keep guessing.
Next, a photo of some food: "Oh, I can't resist. And I don't mean food!" There's currently a queue of about 10 people trying to guess what she means and she only gives some mysterious answers.

I don't want to unfriend them but it's a pet peeve of mine.
Is this really normal? Behaving like kids in a creche and playing a guessing game? Or are they weird? Can anyone explain?
Rant over.

YANBU! But just don't play Wink

Singlenotsingle · 13/07/2018 18:35

Bizarre

@Gardenpicnic - thank you for being the voice of reason. I know it's irrational but I feel like a pissed off porcupine when I see it.

That is so annoying - but please let us know where she is and what the big deal is if you ever find out Grin

UrsulaPandress · 13/07/2018 18:37

It gets my goat too. When people post random shit that doesn't mean anything unless you press for further info.

RailReplacementBusService · 13/07/2018 18:38

Its tiresome attention seeking. I would be Hmm at it too

Clandestino · 13/07/2018 18:39

@itsBritneyBeach
She was in some small town in Germany, hence the setting. Looking very nice but so typical for that corner of the continent it could be anywhere.
And the food photo is of cinnamon rolls. I'm guessing it's a phallic symbol and she feels like having a hot steamy evening. In fact, I'm going to post this guess.
Will update.

Make up some bizarre places.
“Ohhhh that’s the view from Wolverhampton STD clinic”
“Ohhh that’s the body hair removal place, the specialise in hairy backs”
“That’s the nudist camp”
Then don’t take no for an answer

duckfuckduck · 13/07/2018 18:41

Click bait Facebook. I hate it.

DrFoxtrot that fits like an arse on a toilet seat.
dentydown thank you, an excellent plan!

Oh, turns out she couldn't resist when her son and her husband asked her to make the cinnamon rolls so she baked them.
Apparently she will never be able to look at cinnamon rolls without imagining what the shape resembles so it looks like my remark changed her life for the better.
I'll just have to keep on going.
