Hot weather and periods

Sorry if this is a silly question but I can’t seem to get a clear-cut answer off Google

My period is about 5 days late. Has anyone’s duration of menstrual cycle changed this month because of the heatwave?

We have been TTC for a while however I don’t want to get my hopes up in case the irregularity is due to the weather. I’m on holiday at the moment (in the U.K.) and we won’t be able to nip out to a supermarket or chemist to buy a test until Saturday morning

I’ve never heard of the weather making you five days late. Is there not a chemist or supermarket that you could go to tomorrow? If you’ve been ttc I think you may have been successful!

A menstrual cycle can be a bit like a watched kettle, but crossing fingers for you, OP. Enjoy your holiday

Best jump your fella and have a really good holiday to make doubly sure! It could be the last romantic holiday you get for a decade or so

My period is late too and was wondering whether it was to do with the weather!

HelenaDove · 12/07/2018 20:42

YES OP my periods are usually heavy but short.

I have now been bleeding since last Friday night and its been very painful. Was also unable to go to the toilet properly until last night.

I find my period always changes during the summer months. It's much lighter and only lasts two days, as opposed to 5 days and heavy in the winter.
