To think being fallen-asleep-on is ace?

Currently lying with a baby and a kitten asleep on me. This is definitely one of my favourite part of both parenting and pet-ownership. There’s something so lovely about small cuddly things conking out on top of you! Plus it means a few minutes guaranteed peace. Quite sad I’m going to have to try to escape in a minute!

I love it when my cat falls asleep on me. He's half wildcat so a little bigger than an average cat. He stretches out and gets all warm and purrs. It's delicious. I miss my baby falling asleep on me. But I adored newborn snuggles.

Yes yes! As long as you can move them after a while and its not 3am when you’re dog tired though! My 18mo still falls asleep on me often and I love it

Cat cuddles are fab. Though I think my cat is currently put out that his spot in the middle of my chest has been usurped. He keeps grumbling in his sleep. My ‘baby’ was actually 1 at the weekend so doesn’t often just conk out on me like this any more so I’m relishing it.

I miss newborn sleepy cuddles. Apart from when you were stuck and needed to wee!

Ahhh. Some of the happiest moments of my life were when newborn dd1 fell asleep on me and I just cuddled her for hours. Op I'm very jealous of you.

Yes it’s gorgeous because of the snuggles and because it means they trust you 100%.

This is what I'm looking forward to with DC2. DC1 is nearly 6 but it still happens sometimes and it is the loveliest feeling.

DS1 would cuddle on my chest for hours. DS2 is a different kettle of fish and has barely ever cuddled. He’s 9 months now and would fight tooth and nail if he thought he was giving in enough to fall asleep on me. Makes me so sad!

Yes yes yes! Even your thread title made me smile I loved it every time my ds did this, it hardly ever happens anymore and i miss it.

Aww yeah. I have dusting and hoovering this morning, but 9 week old ds3 is so warm and cuddly on my shoulder and he's falling asleep, so I'm not moving. Love it.
