I have never watched love island, I wasn't aware of either Aaron or Sophie.

But, it is ok not to be ok.

I am shocked that Sophie committed suicide and now her bf Aaron has too.

Myself and my children have experience of suicide. I feel so bad these two felt they had no other way out.

Please talk to people.

It's really sad, shocking how many people die from suicide so young

TopBitchoftheWitches · 10/07/2018 19:37

Thank you people who can actually see that suicide is an issue at the moment.

Such sad news that Aaron appears to have taken his own life so soon after Sophie, it is sad that they could see no other way out. I don’t have any experience of suicide, but I do talk to my tribe about it, especially when it has been on SM, tv etc, and have tried to tell them that if ever they feel there is no way out, to talk to me, or their Dad, because quite often, there is a way out. I can only hope that if any of my DC did feel this way, they would be able to talk to me. Nonetheless it saddens me when I hear about ordinary people like Sophie and Aaron, and celebrities who had taken their own lives

Aren’t you a darling, apparently you missed the purpose of this board.

SneakyGremlins · 10/07/2018 19:41

Are you serious Typhers?

TopBitchoftheWitches · 10/07/2018 19:41

Typhers, actually couldn't give a shit what you think, clearly you are happy with people committing suicide, says a lot about you.

This is sad.

Do you think this is perhaps an indication of the type of people that go on these shows... being watched and adored seems to be their main agenda, if they’re not getting that validation does it affect them too much?

Should we be putting these people on such a temporary false pedestal in the first place, only to fall once they’ve had their 15 minutes? Shouldn’t we be showing that these kind of aspirations are really not healthy.. and not encouraging people to see Love Island (and the like) as a positive thing?

Or am I just way off the mark?
