AIBU to play along with a scammer

I’ve had a few emails which are a scam... they suggest they are from a friend and ask for money to be sent for a charity we are involved in by bank transfer. I know they are definately not genuine.... what should I reply with???

I reply with 'mark as spam'

But that’s no fun! 🤣🤣🤣

Well at least your spam is tame! I keep getting emails saying I have been watching porn and they have put a virus on the website and they have collected all my contacts from Facebook, hotmail etc and if I don’t send bitcoins they will send a video split screen of the porn I was watching and my web cam at the time to everyone. Apparently I was doing nasty things whilst enjoying myself on my web cam.

Scammers, know your target audience, I am female, don’t watch porn and don’t have a web cam!

At first they wanted 1600 dollars, they must be getting desperate as the price has dropped to 300 dollars.

I must get 2 emails a day. I don’t bother replying as it just notify them that the email address is live.

If you want to play with them do it safely.
Keep in mind these are criminals.

Do not use your own email. Don't engage if they have any of your personal details. Make sure you have virus protection

I've had about 29 of this this week! Apparently I have "good taste" in porn...

It did make me laugh though!

Say that you are trying to transfer the money but your bank are asking for a £25 Chaps fee, which you will need them to send you first.
