I’ve heard it so much now I can feel myself enjoying it. Why are they singing so many songs these days anyway?

I often find myself singing the theme tune to Go Jetters which is odd as my son doesn't watch itConfused

MrsMotherHen · 10/07/2018 15:54

I was going to post this the other day! I love it!!!! "am a triannnngleeeeee rocking with the shapes tonight"

hellokittymania · 10/07/2018 15:58

Can somebody please link it? I haven’t heard it. Is it an earworm? I have the lost kitties song in my head since I love my Sharona.

MysteryNameChange · 10/07/2018 16:00

It's fucking weird and I doubt my mental well being everytime it's on and I find 'I am a shape' going through my mind over and over.

illhavethesalad · 10/07/2018 16:04

Me too Smile I can't believe they are still playing it - I have a 10 year age gap and DS is nearly 2. Mr Maker is still annoying though.

hellokittymania · 10/07/2018 16:08

Found it! Next time we do a workshop in the Philippines, I know what song we will use for the kids. Thank you for the idea that I’m about to snatch. Grin

QuackPorridgeBacon · 10/07/2018 16:17

illhavethesalad Oh no, this is not Mr Makers delightful ditty. This is proper hardcore rock mate. It’s a shape band! It’s ridiculous but gives me chills and excitement when it comes on. I fear I’m losing my sanity. There are so many songs now and I don’t see any crafty things between shows which was nice.

Lymphy Yes, Go Jetters is another that I find my toe tapping too. In fact, I think I probably know all the words to every song and theme that CBeebies shows. My kids are still young enough to be impressed though so I’m going with it. My three year especially loves my singing of theme songs and gives me a round of applause at the end. The four year old is showing less interest these days.

It’s all about creature report here.

NoProbLlama78 · 10/07/2018 16:26

The Go jetters one bugs me because the lyrics are the wrong way around.

Outside the world is turning
Guided by ubercorn
Four heroes always learning
Theres just so much to explore

It feels to me like it should be

Four heroes always learning
Guided my ubercorn

Outside the world is turning
Theres just so much to explore

Love the new songs especially the shape one and the friendship one - you'll feel it grow oh oh oh

The cbeebies house one and the days of the week ones were getting on my tits

QuackPorridgeBacon · 10/07/2018 16:32

I liked the days of the weeks one... I’ve never thought of Go Jetters lyrics. I’ll be honest I can sing along but I don’t think I could sing them without it playing if you see what I mean? A lot of them I could but most probably not. I know the Lyrics more to the Disney theme songs. I’ve had to endure that a lot too.

Quack I watch far too much cbeebies

Confusedbeetle · 10/07/2018 16:39

The best toddler songs are on youtube. A.Jenkins The shapes song Kids TV123, so many catchy tunes and crazy videos

FlirtyRomanticToast · 10/07/2018 16:40

I wonder if they're ever going to make more Magic Door episodes, I like Magic Door.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 10/07/2018 16:44

I wasn’t too fussed on magic door, but then I’m not very fussed on Kat. My two loved it though but haven’t seen it lately.

My four ear old loves YouTube and all it’s somgs, she also finds shows from when I was a kid and can’t believe it when I recognise it and get the name right lol

I love the way she sings triangle. I find my self singing along to it. Oh an the stick song off hey dougie? Absolutely love that one, even tho my three aren't that impressed by it.

LoudestRoar · 10/07/2018 17:09

The stick song has been replaced by Waffle doggy in our house!

Osirus · 10/07/2018 17:09

I love Magic Door. Those songs hang around for weeks!

AveABanana · 10/07/2018 18:27

I'm almost nostalgic for Andy's number raps now.
Those surfing YouTube - have a look for They Might be Giants - Here come the ABCs. Hilarious and educational.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 10/07/2018 21:19

I love Andy and my little one has his oddsocks CD. Love the number raps. Love stick stick sticky stick, had almost forgot about it. Can’t stand waffle doggy but catch myself singing it every time and the four year old loves it. She gets surprisingly into it and starts ad-libbing to her own slightly adjusted tune.

Speaking of magic door, I really did like the northern lights one. Used to calm the three year old down.

My DS dances along with the penguins in the Antarctica one 💗 Wish I could upload a very short video.

Best I can do is a photo

To really get into the CBeebies shapes song.
Shiteatusernames · 10/07/2018 21:28
I'll just leave this here Grin
TheHalfBloodPrincess · 10/07/2018 21:33

^ the only reason I can get anything^ done at all. There’s a 5 hour repeated version on YouTube ind I reckon ds(12 months) would absolutely sit there for the whole time without noticing I’ve moved an inch away from him.

sticky, sticky, stick stick
