New neighbours arrived a few weeks ago and it's been an absolute nightmare.
They play music in their kitchen from 6am till way past 2am, this wasn't a problem at first as it was muted through walls and double glazing, but now that we've got so much heat their windows and doors are always open and the music is very very loud. By midnight last night I was absolutely exhausted, they'd woken both DS's up numerous times so I asked if they'd keep it down, they turned it down a bit.
Soon after I settled in bed I saw on the local community page that a dog had been spotted. Half an hour later I hear the neighbours marching up and down the street screaming a name over and over, I put 2 and 2 together and went down to tell them where the dog was last seen from announcement on Facebook (I didn't know it was their dog when I first read the post)
She just legged it to where I'd told her it had been seen and a while later I heard her come back with the dog.
I figured I might get a knock today with a thank you as that's what I would have done, but no. Said dog has barked all day and the music has been the loudest it's ever been.
We've had the windows closed all day in this horrible heat, they finally quietened down about an hour ago so I gleefully went and opened the back windows before going to bed so some air could circulate. Then I smell the weed. It's SO strong and so smokey. My two DS's are disabled, one is severely asthmatic and cannot be around any type of smoke, it's also extremely difficult for him to take an inhaler due to his disability.
They've smoked weed since they got here, but we've either been on our way out so I've been able to close the windows, or DS's have been at nursery so I wasn't too worried about the smell getting to them.
I'm sick of us having to keep all our windows shut in this weather so that they can live whatever lifestyle they've chosen, not to mention they're smoking it around their three children. I know noise and smoking complaints must be the main topic on here right now, but I'm honestly feeling so down about it. We are looking to move, but it's proving difficult with the two DC's and the upheaval of their routine.
I should add, neighbours are quite aggressive and don't seem approachable in the slightest, always seem to be yelling and swearing at each other. I've passive aggressively gone round shutting all the windows again and told DH he needs to do downstairs because of the horrible smell, they could hopefully hear me say that but I doubt they'll care.
What can I do? I know weed is illegal, but even if they were smoking cigarettes it'd be a problem as they smoke it so close to our open windows. I think I'd manage with cigarettes though, as it is actually legal 😩
