Anybody else ? I am sick of being told by my friends that there baby can do this and that and constant questions about it my baby can too! It’s making me actually want to not be friends with certain people anymore and it’s not because my baby can’t do them I just find it so competitive and boring !

Ignore them. Their bragging only makes them feel better if you react. A 'that's nice' to their comments will eventually bore them.

Everyone else will get bored of it eventually too. Those who don't will lose friends. Once babies can walk, start to babble a bit and are weaned people lose interest in theminutae of other people's babies!

YANBU but do grow a thicker skin because it doesn't get better as the kids grow up and go to school.

YANBU but don’t worry you will have the last laughs when their children grow up and end up with terrible GCSEs while you put the effort in and get top of the class marks

Yes suppose i had better get used to it , I actually find it embarrassing like I cringe for them ! But thanks I’ll focus on my own baby :)

I remember a mum telling me how her baby could sing, walk and had the best fine motor skills the health visitor had ever seen for 9 months! I listened and made the right noises nodding along along she looked distastefully at my baby in its pram while he crammed food into his mouth and missed, getting most of it on the floor and asked "and what can your baby do?" I just looked at her and replied "well he does an Irish gig every night before bed and has just been accepted by mensa"
She left pretty soon and avoided me thereafter 😀😂

“How wonderful for your baby, you must be so proud!”. Then deflect, don’t get drawn into the competitiveness.

Haha specky12 love that !
