To wonder if he's given me an STI?

I've had recurring episodes of what I thought was thrush. But the over-the-counter treatments haven't worked at all, and googling it, actually my symptoms are much more like those of trichomoniasis.

Obviously I'm going to have a test and find out for sure.

I've been with the same person for 5 years and two children, but we've never lived together and I'm aware that it's not the most stable relationship although we have both said we will be faithful to each other.

If it's trichomoniasis, is there any innocent explanation for how I could have got this? I had my last STI test 5.5 years ago after my last sexual partner and was clear then.

Online it says that if untreated it can last for years and may not show any symptoms...

But honestly I'd just get tested for it before getting too wound up over something that may not even be true.

Some women are simply more prone to getting recurring yeast infections, then others, and you may need a prescription strength solution.

Thank you, I should definitely get tested so I know for sure.

It's just that I am pretty sure that it isn't a yeast infection for various reasons (I thought it was until I read the actual symptoms) and the trichomoniasis symptoms describe it exactly...

30 percent of women have bacterial vaginosis at some time in their lives, often triggered by sex but not an STD... Similar symptoms...
