So... you've been unreasonable... apologise or ignore until it is all forgotten?

So, say someone has a teeny bit of PMT.

Goes out, buys decent veg to do a halfway decent meal for the first time in weeks.

DH mentions a need for bread & butter with his to make his kiev into a f*ckin sandwich.

Someone yells about how inconsiderate it is when they have worked to produce a decent meal, and how are the children meant to learn to eat properly if Daddy eats sandwiches (?!) and just because he had it like that as a kid doesn't mean that ours (or somebody's of course...) shouldn't be raised to eat properly ()

That someone only a couple of hours later connects the niggly tummy ache and the mood swings....

Should they apologise, but it end up seeming insincere with the "pmt angle", or just wait until it is forgotten in the morning?

Please tell me its not just me that gets in these situations!!!

maybe apologise, but DO NOT MENTION PMT!
Otherwise every single time for evermore, that you lose your temper he will say it's because of that, and you may well kill him!!

PandaG · 26/05/2007 21:12

def not just you, I do this all the time!

Apology would be good I think - maybe accompanied by a cup of tea 'here you are love, sorry I was a bit short earlier' ?

Flame · 26/05/2007 21:13

He tends to know the difference between me normal stroppy and insane hormone me (and he knows better than to dare suggest hormones when it is the cause )

I still can't quite believe the telling him he was raised badly

I'm a cow.

good god, I so agree with doodle. You were so NOT unreasonable. Making a sandwich out of a Kiev at what should be a family mealtime!!!! GROSS!

I think you went easy on him.

Do not apologise!

helenhismadwife · 27/05/2007 12:41

cup of tea may be but dont think you were wrong about sandwich thing

singingmum · 27/05/2007 12:44

The only things that should be reasonably made in to sandwich at dinner table are salad and chips(I can't say no to a chip butty)
Don't apologise he was brought up with a bad habit and it's time he grew out of it.

kimi · 27/05/2007 12:46

I tell DH1 he was badly raised all the time, and its true!!!

I have a pet hate out of people who make sandwiches out of there meals, if you gave him a bloody sandwich for dinner I bet he would moan,

Chandra · 27/05/2007 12:50
