To ask for help with glue?

I have to stick a heavy silk edging back onto a heavy silk lampshade. It's not possible to sew it back. Does anyone know which glue would be good for this job? I need something that won't make too much of a mark, and which won't go dark over time (it's a cream lampshade). Thanks in advance.

If the edging has no heavy tassel I found pritt stick fine with cream shade and quite light 0.5cm thin edge. I use Asda superglue for fabric that's heavier, no problems so far. I'm too tight to buy specialist hobby type fabric glue :-) .
