Dd left said school at end of y4 in 2016, kept in touch with all friends etc attending birthday parties and so on. When leaving, the head mentioned she’d be welcome to come in to school at different events which we haven’t managed to do yet. The school has a new headmistress. They are running a fair on last day of school - every child needs to buy a ticket to attend so you can use the stall without carrying cash. One of my dd’s friends (also left the school at the same time but has a younger sibling still in) told her about the fair and that she’d be attending. I email the office to say can we have a ticket as an ex pupil to only be told it’s for current families only?! AIBU to feel this is wrong judgement. NB mentioning the context of it being a private school as am aware all state schools have fairs open to everyone as a fundraising event... would love to know people’s opinions...
