To think booking.com shouldn’t be listing properties with repeated reports od bed bugs

I just returned from a short work trip where I stayed for a couple of days. It was a last minute thing and there wasn’t much availability so I picked one that was walking distance to my venue, read some of the top reviews it praised the location etc and I went ahead and booked it. Upon returning my body is covered in red bite marks over as and legs and the itching is madenning. I read the reviews more thoroughly when I suspected bed bugs and lo and behildvthere are numerous reports of bed bugs both recent and historical. I know I should have checked more thoroughly but I feel that a provider should not be listing a hotel with so many reports and they should not be displaying the positive reports on top. I’m pissed off and not a little bit worried that I’m going to end up with a huge bill from Rentokil in addition to dealing with itchiness. Photos for your viewing pleasure of my predicament.
