Received a reminder off British Gas for the annual service however 12 months ago at the last service I really embarrassed myself.
The gas man opened the cupboard where the boiler is, (think integrated kitchen cupboard) I was making a cuppa behind him and noticed his shoulders going up and down. He looked at me and was laughing. I asked him if everything was ok, he said yes fine and carried on working. He popped out to his van to fetch something so I had a nose in the cupboard. In there was a boxed DVD of the, let's say, adult kind. Pictures on the front and everything.
I was absolutely mortified. When he came back I hastily pointed at it and said "THAT isn't mine"! (It wasn't) He winked at me and said "I believe you" and carried on tittering away to himself. 
I hid for the remaining duration of him being in my house. On his way out he cheerily said "See you next year"!
I hope not. 
What if it's him again OR what if he's told his colleagues and I'm known as the woman with a secret stash of pornos in her boiler cupboard?!
