Squeaky Trampoline after 10pm

This has been going on for months now. Please don’t flame me because I genuinely do understand the need.

We have a neighbour with a DS who is Autistic. The trampoline starts before 6am some mornings and is still going, well now. Not all day of course, but on and off.

I agree they are a great resource for children especially this particular boy. I’m glad they have it for him.

The problem is that it squeaks. It really squeaks. Very loud. I googled it, and it could be easily resolved with a quick treatment of WD40 in the right places.

My issue is that I don’t want to suggest it in case the parents take it as a passive aggressive dig about the noise and hours of use.

So, wwyd? Say something or buy some earplugs? (I’m unlikely to say anything, but interested in Mumsnets point of view.)

Offer them some wd40 -sorted.

They might not realise

Sorry I should have said in original post I barely know them. Nodding terms with the mum, just recognise the dad. They are a good few doors down from us.

Sneak into their garden at night and oil it. Job done.

Say something or you’ll quietly seethe.
It’s a shame the boy has autism but ffs surely the parents can see that a pre 6am bounce on a squeaky trampoline isn’t on

I’m genuinely not seething. It is disturbing me, but I’m also pregnant so it’s not like I’d be getting a great nights rest anyway!

The worst scenario would be that they stop him using it when he needs. I get it, Autism is bloody hard - if it works I don’t want to make them feel uncomfortable about it. Sad
