To feel guilty

We pulled out of buying a house today. We had to, due to issues beyond our control.

I feel guilty, we put an offer on six weeks ago, and the checks were going to be done next week. The current owners needed to sell and move quickly due to a family member with ill health so I feel bad as we have delayed this for them. But we really had no option.

We loved the house and wanted to buy it, but it wasn't to be.

You can't feel guilty when it's beyond your control. We sold our old house twice before it sold for the last time, third time lucky! It's just how life is sometimes. I hope things sort themselves out for you. Disappointing for you though.
