Aibu to change childminder for my dc? I have a great childminder, there have been a few frustrations in the past but on the whole we are very happy with her. My dc love her and she seems to have established great routines with him.
She is based near my work place but when my older dc start school in September, it'll be logistically difficult (though not impossible) to get small dc to childminder on time.
So, I could place him in with a childminder near home. Could anyone tell me if I should move him? Seems very disruptive and do all childminders do lots for the dc? Like practicing good behaviour and manners, work on core strength, lots of stimulating play? Current childminder takes them to softplay, farms, play groups. Has lots of themed play, sensory play etc.
Are these standard for all childminders?? I don't want to lose all this for someone who might just do the bare minimum.
