School uniforms really need sorting!

They are just so bad. The shoes - what are the shoes about? And the awful fabric on those grey trousers. And the cut. And the colours of those jumpers! And the white polo type things.

It's all wrong. Surely kids can be allowed to look good at school, there must be a way?!

There's more to life than looking good.

TattyFrench · 02/07/2018 23:41

What on Earth are you on about?

Angie169 · 02/07/2018 23:57

Smart white or pale blue shirt , dark jumper, grey / black skirt or trousers , well polished shoes .
Not only a child's uniform but what a lot of people wear to the office too.

What would you prefer the children to wear ?

If the wear their own clothes this can lead to bullying for not having the 'in' labels and designs or for having different taste in fashion.

To wish schools didn't have uniforms?

They’re kids, why should they worry what they look like.

I really don't want my DC focusing on looking good at school, I want them focusing on learning, exploring and building friendships. They will have a whole life ahead of them where people judge them on what they wear and how they wear it, I am in no hurry for it to start.
