Hi wasn’t sure were to post but here goes. There is about 5 young girls in my street all ages 6/7 one including my daughter. Yesterday the other four girls played in one of the girls back gardens. My daughter was left out all day. But when any of the girls have no one to play with they come for my daughter. I even heard one of the girls talking on the phone to her Mum saying her friend wasn’t in so she just went in for my daughter 😡. My daughter is feeling so left out and sad. One of the girls is very bossy and rude, most of the mothers have complained about her but are happy for their girls to play with her. What would you do? Would you say anything if any of the girls came to the door or just leave it for my daughter to find her own way.

We have this same thing with ds. I've told him about other children and how a true friendship works, told him to respect himself and that he deserves good friends, then I've left it to him. It's taken a few talks but he's slowly saying no to playing with the kids and feeling happier for it

Leave it to DD to decide who she wants to play with.

Just because the other girls live locally and are similar age, doesn't mean that they are obliged to play all together all the time.

In your case I'd be inviting plenty of other friends over, rather than relying on the local girls to play with DD.
