Seriously can we get rid of these into a topic that doesn't appear in Active convos?

There has already been a hate thread for these - Can we get rid of all these hate threads!

I agree . It looks like we're also going to get loads of ' I'm sick of ask me anything ' threads

YY I am getting more fed up by the threads moaning about AMA threads than the actual AMA threads now.

I think they're brilliant.

I like the genuine ones but some have put up daft ones to be silly!

I love them. YABU.

I do think many are just an exercise in creative writing.

I tend to doubt the credentials of the OPs I'm afraid. I liked the stripper one but the others - well I'm not that interested. Seems a fad at present, soon it will hopefully pass.

I hate the WAG one, but it's not a site just for me so I live with them.

Yanbu. Can't problem find other ways to seek attention and jump on bandwagons?*

I agree. But, I just hide the silly ones. Some of the serious ones are quite interesting.

This is why I think there should be a separate topic for them. Some of the sensible ones are interesting and it would be easier to find them if they were in one place.

I like them. I just open the ones I'm interested in and ignore the rest.

Some of them have been fantastically informative, but the piss taking ones are getting quite tiresome.

Some kind of irony in moaning that the AMA threads clog up the boards and contribute to said clogging up of boards by constant whining about it

I don't really see the point of them. Asking a lesbian specific questions about their experiences, for example, informs you of that single lesbian's experiences. You can't then extrapolate to all lesbians and think "And now I'm extra knowledgeable about what lesbians think about this and this". You just 'know' that individual poster a little better. So what's the point?
