So, my neighbours who’s back garden joins onto mine have had a party (at least one a week, sometimes 2 or 3) every single week since summer began. Maybe 7 or 8 weeks now. Loud music, shouting over music, going on till 3 or 4 am. I don’t mind the “occasional” party but tonight I had my window shut, air con on (it’s portable so noisy) and still I could hear their music over it.

I just went out and asked them to please turn the music down and said about how it’s every single week. The guy protested a bit saying it wasn’t that often but they agreed to move the music indoors. Success! Ok I can still hear a bit of shouting and stuff but thank god the musics stopped.

I know it’s summer and people can enjoy their own gardens etc etc. But should people really have to be disturbed week after week? Is it unreasonable to expect the music to quieten down after 11 if they’re making these parties a regular thing?

That regular and that late YANBU. At least they did go inside and turn it down when you asked. Fingers crossed they'll be a bit more considerate now.

I hope so. I hate being a grinch but it just gets to the point where you can’t take it any more.
