To give money instead of gift?

Friends birthday is coming up, and I gave her money and a card last year, I'm thinking of doing the same this year. I really struggle to buy her a gift as she has everything!

AIBU to just give her money instead? Fear that it looks like I can't be bothered, but I really don't know what to get her.

Would you be annoyed if someone gave you money instead of a gift?

Could you get her a voucher for a shop, restaurant or cafe? I don’t mind receiving money but I often find it then goes on shopping or petrol etc whereas when I get a voucher I treat myself

I agree,a voucher would be better, then it doesn't get wasted on normal spending
