AIBU - BBQ/washing

We are having a bbq- small, just me and DP. Neighbour has her washing out, and has gone out. She’s left said washing on our shared patio (we share the garden).
AIBU to have said bbq? I’m panicking that we were tbh. We did not light the BBQ on the shared patio where here washing was but still. Argh!

Can you not just take it down and if still wet, put back up after??

RubyWho · 29/06/2018 20:04

It’s dry, on one of those concertina drying racks. I didn’t think she’d want us touching her pants and bras and things otherwise we’d have brought the whole thing into the kitchen for a bit.

Oh please take it in, there's nothing worse than thinking you will be coming home to dried laundry and finding it stinking of BBQ. She will thank you more for touching her pants than just lighting the BBQ whilst staring at the washing.

If you're bringing the whole thing into your kitchen, how does that mean touching her pants and bras?

AnneOfCleavage · 29/06/2018 20:15

Thank you Ruby for being so considerate and to have a BBQ at this time not every lunchtime like our neighbours so our washing is stinky. I try and hang it out 1st thing now and bring it in around 11.30am but if I'm out and back later it's annoying to come back to charcoal-ly dry washing. It just lingers grr.

I did try the passive aggressive "I wonder if the neighbours will be inconsiderate to have a BBQ AGAIN when my washing is out" whilst hanging it out and it seems to have worked as no BBQ today Grin

RubyWho · 29/06/2018 20:27

The sodding thing won’t even light now, so I guess it’s karma?

In our row of 5 we always tell each other if we're having one. Will collect each others washing off the line if they're not home same as we do when it's raining.

Id rather you had a giggle over my pants than make me have to rewash.
