My first post so please bear with me. Having a hard time at home with a controlling husband that I am trying to leave. He's making life really difficult constantly bad-mouthing me in front of the kids and also always puts the kids in situations they don't need to be in. He knows that i had to re-learn to speak following a bike accident yet tonight he encourages DS 9 to go down a 1in3 hill to the local shop on his scooter (with him) without a helmet. In our house its a golden rule you always wear your helmet on a bike or scooter. DD13 currently has had enough of him. AIBU?

It doesn't sound like you are being unreasonable.

Of course YANBU. Speak to ds9 re safety. Get yourself together and get out.
