AIBU to ask if you used a surrogate?

Hey, this is my first post.

Has any body used a surrogate? Was it relatively straight forward? How did you find the right one? Was there extra cost (ontop of expenses)?

Considering this for the future as I have been told no more after my daughter. Or has anyone had perinatum cardiomyopathy and gone in to have another? I feel that isn't an option though after chats with my consultants.

Sorry for all the questions abd thanks if you are still reading.

One of my closest friends did but it was in the US and the surrogate was paid.

I think your first reply was unnecessarily harsh. Pregnancy and birth isn't life risking for the majority and the women who do it know what they are going into and some may be experienced at it. I wouldn't ever go for a surrogate or be one personally but there are many out there who have and it's been successful.

I think it's ethically dubious at best, and should be banned.

I don’t agree with surrogacy. Especially when it involves poor women from abroad.
Whilst not so bad in this county, It must be confusing for a new born to be handed to a second mother at birth.
