How do I turn it off?

Neighbours burgle alarm is going off loudly. They are on holiday. Neighbours with the key is also on holiday.

Anything I can do? It's keeping everyone awake and waking the children but the rest of us don't have a key!!

101 would be my best bet. They can come and check as you don’t know what set it off

Our council has an out of hours helpline for logging anti social noise..I called it once as a car alarm have been going off for 12 hours (!) and they had to send someone as it was causing a disturbance. The police ended up authorising a mechanic to do something under the hood after the council arranged.

Has your council got a similar service?

Is there a box on the wall outside with the name of the alarm company?

Some posh ones might have remote monitoring but that's super expensive so maybe a long shot! They might have an engineer's code though that they may be willing to give to the police if the police are are willing to break in.

All that being said , most alarms have a 20 minute cut off alarm as not to disturb people - how long has it been?

Have you been neighbourly and popped around there to check the house isn't actually being burgled?

We've all been out (very small cul-de-sac) and there is no signs of a break in but none of us have a key. Neighbour who does is also away.

The alarm has stopped but the light is flashing. It won't start again will it?

The alarm should automatically shut itself off after 20 minutes. It shouldn't go off again unless something sets it off
